Days that restore the taste for life
From July 21 to 24, 2025, the Edimar Princess Grace Center pulsed with laughter, games, and moments of sharing. For four days, 117 children and young people in vulnerable situations lived a unique experience through the event “Edimar Vacances”, designed to offer them much more than just a time of entertainment: a true path toward self-esteem and social integration.
A space to reflect and grow
Guided by Father Jonathan, the young participants took part each morning in educational talks around a central theme: “How can I integrate into society?” In simple and fraternal language, he invited each one on an inner journey. The exchanges, sometimes intense, revealed the lucidity and maturity of certain children. “Anger prevents us from recognising our mistakes,” confided Hassan, 16, highlighting the depth of the awareness that emerged.
Learning the value of the group to express one’s talents
Divided into four symbolic teams (Family, Friends, Citizens, and Buddies), the children discovered the joy of belonging to a group and the strength of the collective. Through soccer, painting, origami, and even bracelet-making, they learned to combine respect, fair play, and creativity. Each hesitant gesture that became assured, each color laid down with confidence, each touch of the ball carried within it a story: that of resilience, of imagination rediscovered, and of long-suppressed dreams.
The simple joy of sharing and a message of hope
The days ended around a communal meal. More than just a moment of eating, it was an experience of fraternity. “I like it when we all eat together. It reminds me that I’m not alone,” confided Alain, 13, his eyes shining.
Despite logistical challenges, the educational team carried the event with commitment and determination. Edimar Vacances 2025 did not just provide recreational activities: it sowed seeds of hope. The hope that a future is still possible, even after the wounds of the street.
