When women’s solidarity meets the hope of street youth.
The Edimar Princess Grace Center recently welcomed the association Les Gourmettes for an encounter marked by solidarity and humanity. In a simple yet warm atmosphere, the young people expressed their joy at receiving these committed women.
WHO ARE LES GOURMETTES?
The association Les Gourmettes is a collective of dedicated women who meet each month to exchange ideas, organize workshops, and support solidarity projects. Their goal is simple: to combine conviviality with generosity.
During their visit, they showed great interest in how the Center operates.
Mr. Patrick BIDONG, Program Coordinator, responded by recounting the history of the Edimar Princess Grace Center: an initiative born from sincere friendship and filled with hope.
MOVING TESTIMONIES
Amidst conversations, exchanges, and deeply moving testimonies, the day highlighted the journey of street children when they find a listening ear and compassionate support. Hassan’s story—initially distrustful before opening up to the educational team—or the words of Aboubakar, who described the children at the Center as “princes,” touched the visitors’ hearts deeply.
A DAY ENGRAVED IN HEARTS
The meeting concluded with a tour of the facilities, informal exchanges, the presentation of a few symbolic gifts, and a family photo full of smiles.
Les Gourmettes promised not to stop there. They intend to continue supporting the Edimar Princess Grace Center, not only financially but also through concrete volunteer actions.
This day was a reminder of one essential truth: when compassionate hearts meet, lives can be transformed.
