Five days to learn, have fun and discover yourself
From 13 to 17 July 2026, more than one hundred children and young people took part in a new edition of Edimar Holidays at the Centre Edimar Princesse Grace. For five days, games, sport, creativity, discussions and discoveries filled a week designed not only to give young people the chance to enjoy themselves, but also to help them recognise their own value and abilities.
Four teams, one shared ambition
The theme, “I am valuable, capable and the author of my own future,” encouraged the young participants to see themselves in a new light, recognise their worth, believe in their abilities and understand that they can play an active role in building their future.
Divided into four teams — Valuable, Capable, Builder and Hope — the participants competed in a variety of fun challenges. Games such as Foulard, Messager, Pilot House and Chercher le mot encouraged reflection, listening and teamwork. Creative workshops gave the young people the opportunity to express their imagination through bracelet-making, flowerpot decoration and the personalisation of traditional slippers.
Sport also played an important role, allowing participants to put effort, discipline, respect for rules and cooperation into practice. Educational discussion sessions created spaces for them to talk about their individual abilities, dreams and life plans.
Discovering the National Assembly
The 2026 edition was also marked by a visit to the National Assembly. The young participants were able to discover how this institution works and learn more about its role, while also meeting one of the Vice-Presidents of the National Assembly.
During the meeting, they received advice on education, work and civic engagement. The experience reinforced the central message of this year’s programme: being an active participant in one’s own future also means being able to play an active role within one’s community and society.
Beyond the prizes
The week came to a joyful close with prizes awarded to the teams and young people who had particularly distinguished themselves, as well as trophies presented to the football players.
Beyond the awards, Edimar Holidays 2026 above all gave the young participants the opportunity to share meaningful moments, discover new abilities and build greater self-confidence.
For five days, games, sport, workshops, discussions and discoveries all carried the same message: everyone has value, everyone is capable, and everyone can look towards the future with confidence.
The Centre Edimar Princesse Grace would like to thank its partners and all the benefactors whose support makes these moments possible and helps open up new opportunities for vulnerable children and young people.
